• Genesis 3: 4-5 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

Reader, from somewhere between 20 years and 80 years after the creation of the universe, the enemy began his attack on humanity, yes this early! He lied to the woman and told her she would be as gods. The motivation driving satan was this,

• Isaiah 14: 12-14 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.

Satan wanted to be God, thus created the little gods movement and boy have the Pentecostals latched onto this one! This doctrine that we can be like God is both ridiculous, and shamefully arrogant. I am not sure how these preaches stand on the pulpit without absolute fear that God will strike them down instantly. Lets take a look at a few preaches and their statements on this topic,

Reader, this cannot be more simple. We are not gods. Even the very thought of such a statement should make each and everyone one of us fall to our knees before our creator in apology and repentance for the thought! As always the bible clears this up easily for us,

• Isaiah 44:6 Thus saith the Lord the King of Israel, and his redeemer the Lord of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God.
• 1 Timothy 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus
• Isaiah 43:11 I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour.
• 1 Corinthians 8:6 But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.
• James 2:19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.

Surely, we do not need further confirmation that the above, but just to seal the deal, God even confirms he will not create another God,

• Isaiah 43:10 Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.
• Isaiah 42:8 I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.

Reader, Satan has been trying this one on throughout the millennia. At every opportunity he installs thoughts into the hearts of those lead by feelings that they can be a God. Our rightful place as humans created by God, is on our knees before him in worship, anything other than this would be following a doctrine of the Enemy.
